Forest Dreams, by Kiera
When a leaf falls
It won’t just hit the ground
When a leaf falls
It looks down
And when I fall
You might not hear a sound
But I’m looking down
Change like the leaves in the autumn
Change like the seasons will do
And when I change I might not look the same
Cause I’m living too
When a leaf falls
It won’t only look down
Sometimes the leaf
Looks around
It sees its siblings
The family it’s found
Yes, I look around
Change like the floor of the forest
Growing into something new
And we plant the seed
Of the world that we dream
Cause we’re living too
When a tree grows
It remembers its seed
The soil that gave it
What it needs
We live as children
Ancestors, queens
Part of forest dreams
Dream like the floor of the forest (stardust and spirits)
Dance like the waves of the sea
Laugh like the warm sun and grass on our skin
Dream and we’ll be free
